Marinduque is known as the smallest province in the Southern Tagalog region. It has the shape of a human heart floating on a clear blue sea, situated about eleven miles from the main island of Luzon. Marinduque lies between Tayabas Bay to the north and Sibuyan Sea to the south, south and west of Quezon, east of Mindoro and north of Romblon.
